Vienna Composition Lab offers an exceptional opportunity for composers at all levels, enabling them to explore the professional creative journey, receiving personalized lessons and attending seminars, culminating in a recording by a world-class ensemble. Set in Vienna, the music capital of the world, this experience immerses participants in a vibrant culture and rich artistic heritage.
At the Vienna Composition Lab, chosen participants can either receive a new composition commission or refine their existing work, following specific guidelines such as instrumentation, length, and submission date. As a fulfilling finale, these compositions will be expertly recorded in audio-visual format by the Wiener Festspiele Ensemble.

The Vienna Composition Lab is a fully balanced experience, allowing beginners composers to live the realities confronted as active professional composers. This unique three-week encounter will flourish in Vienna, known as the music capital of the world, offering a daily intake of a vibrant and historical musical culture and heritage.
